Evelyn R. Thomas, MS, BSME, BA, EI

I am a 1st year Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. student and NDSEG Fellow at Penn State. 

I earned an M.S. in Engineering Design from The Pennsylvania State Univeristy. During my four years at The University of Texas at Austin, I earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in History. I care about design because I view creation as a divine act. I consider becoming an engineering designer as a calling. Turning "something" into "nothing" is equal parts STEM + Fine Arts and Humanities. As a degree holder in Engineering and Humanities and as a former Fine Arts student 3rd-12th grade student, I draw from all of my experiences to inspire my designs.
