Order of an Engineer
"The Obligation is a creed similar to the oath attributed to Hippocrates (460-377 B.C.) that is generally taken by medical graduates and which sets forth an ethical code. The Obligation likewise, contains parts of the Canon of Ethics of major engineering societies. Initiates, as they accept it voluntarily, pledge to uphold the standards and dignity of the engineering profession and to serve humanity by making the best use of Earth’s precious wealth. "

Leadershape Participant
"This 6-day or 4 day off-site retreat, provides participants the opportunity for self-discovery, self-reflection and feedback in a community of approximately 60 peers. Not a typical leadership retreat, the Institute is grounded in helping individuals identify the values they hold that lead to making a difference in the communities around them. Through self-assessment, intensive small group discussions, team building challenges, and more, participants will develop a vision for something they care about. By leading with passion, integrity, and a healthy disregard for the impossible, participants explore who they are and the impact that they want to have on communities working towards a more caring, just and equitable society." - The Leadershape Institute

Safety Day Makeathon 2nd Place Team
The Safety Day Makeathon is an annual overnight competition hosted by the Student Engineering Council at The University of Texas at Austin. The 2016 competition was sponsored by Chevron on October 21-22, 2016.
The task was to get an egg down an inclined ramp and past various obstacles like wooden dowels. Resources to construct the mechanism cost "money" so frugality was essential. My team, consisting of 4 of my friends and myself, called ourselves "Proteggted." We placed second place, having successfully protected the egg in a cost effective manner.
