Intelligent design of functional products and systems is my passion. Asking (and answering) the right questions is my purpose. My research and academic background have provided me with opportunities to combine my passion and purpose.
About Me:
I am a 4th year Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. candidate at The Pennsylvania State University. I have had the pleasure of being the recipient of the 2023-2026 National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship among other honors. I earned an M.S. in Engineering Design from Penn State. During my four years at The University of Texas at Austin, I earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in History.Â
My research is on the design of voxel-based multi-material additively manufactured thick-folding origami-based mechanisms. This is deeply related to my primary interests: holistic and interdisciplinary problem solving. Curiosity, community, and continuous improvement drive my curricular and extracurricular education.
